LAX is located near the Pacific Ocean southwest of downtown Los Angeles. There are several public transit options serving LAX including light rail.
LAX has an Automated People Mover (APM) system under construction. It will be an electric train system on a 2.25 mile elevated guideway with six stations total – three inside the Airport Terminal Area and three outside. The APM system is scheduled to be in operation in 2023.
While we wait for the APM system, you have to take a shuttle bus to either the LAX Bus Center or the light rail Aviation Metro Station to use public transit.
